Twenty Years On The Road

Michael D Brannan is a photographer and Digital Fine Artist based out of Seattle. He has a science degree in environmental geography, is a combat veteran, is a collegiately-trained photographer, and has been leading or participating in expeditions to both remote and urban locations for more than twenty years.

Despite his formal training in photography, Michael prefers to use a natural “street photography” style to capture his images and most of his work reflects a gritty, ‘lived in’ appearance that the artist feels brings a more realistic experience to the viewer. Most of his work focus’ on isolation of objects, the strong contrast between light and shadow, the human experience, and mankind’s place in the world.
